Our History
Hope Reformed Church was founded in the 1940's and moved to its current location in 1952. It began with a group of devoted families and found its way by offering Sunday School to over 100 kids from the neighborhood. That heritage has been carried on in different ways by different families over the years.
Historically, our church family has had a reputation for openness to new ideas and new people, while remaining solidly rooted in Scripture We were among the first Reformed Church in America congregations to ordain women to leadership positions in the church and employ women as pastors. We hope to maintain that openness and rootedness today.
Hope Reformed Church ministers in a community diverse in age, race, and economic level. We believe that diversity enriches the Christian community. And we believe that doing justice means finding ways to include all of our neighbors in the promises of God's kingdom. We welcome all who feel called to join us!
