I want their hearts to be encouraged and united in love, so that they may have all the riches of assured understanding and have the knowledge of God's mystery, that is, Christ himself, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. - Colossians 2:2-3
Since my seminary days these words have been a guiding light for me. They remind me not to thump the Bible too loudly or lay on heavy burdens, but to encourage, unite, and assure a congregation in Jesus Christ. They remind me to help this fellowship, and all who join it, to embrace hope.
I longed to join this congregation because of the words you see on the top of this web page. I've come to understand that, for this congregation, embracing hope means doing justice by being involved in the struggles of our neighbors, loving kindness through inclusive fellowship, and walking humbly by developing an intimate relationship with God. As you look over these pages, I hope that you'll find your heart encouraged and a growing desire to unite with us.
